About Me

“For me, the camera is a sketchbook,
an instrument of intuition and spontaneity.”

— Henri Cartier-Bresson

I’m a resident lifestyle photographer in Tulum, Mexico and I work with families, couples, entrepreneurs, creators, service providers, and businesses who are looking for images that show the essence of their story.

What’s the essence of my story? Well, I was born and raised in Brazil and grew up loving the outdoors, travel, people, and all forms of art.  When I was young one of my favourite things was drawing. Playing with shadows, light, and lines was something fascinating to me until I found my first camera!  At that moment I discovered a way of creating those drawings by painting with light using my camera instead of a pencil, which made me able to capture images of real moments of life.

“That is when my passion for photography began. I found out that I could express myself artistically through the lens and so I did!”

As I mentioned, I grew up loving the outdoors and travelling.  Exploring new places and cultures awakened my desire to learn more about how to capture that connection between the light and the viewfinder, so I enrolled myself in a photography school while living in Vancouver, Canada.  After that, I went travelling around the world with my camera in hand chasing moments within light.  I thought that would be a fantastic way of practicing what I had learned in school and I was right!

The Essence of My Story

Today, I am a full-time lifestyle photographer in Tulum, Mexico. I continue to love and learn about this art and everything that comes with it. The essence of your story has become a guiding element of my photography work so I wanted to share a little about the essence of my story as well, through images:

Working with Grazi was effortless. She has a calming spirit, and a keen eye for light and shadow play. I think her skill exists in part due to her intuitive connections.

Much love Grazi. Thank you.

What to Expect When We Work Together

I’ve worked with over a hundred clients and many were unsure what to expect from a professional photoshoot or had never been in front of the camera before but by the end of our session together they were loving it and wanting more!

So, if you’ve ever avoided using a professional photographer because you typically don’t like being in photos or you aren’t comfortable with how to pose or what to do in a photoshoot then you’ve come to the right place.

We are showing your story in the photos so all you really have to do is be yourself and the intention for the images will show naturally. I provide all of the guidance that you need for the photoshoot and most of the time you won’t even remember that you are being photographed!

“Grazi’s energy, excitement and passion for photography is an incredible experience unto itself, and we just cannot wait to adventure with her in the future, as we know she will capture those defining moments in life.”

About My Personal Projects

Photography isn’t just a job for me, it’s also a creative way for me to give back!

Gather4Giving

I have been lucky enough to travel extensively around the world and I have always had my camera with me. My time spent in Africa left a huge impression on me and resulted in an ongoing and successful collaboration with a primary school in an area of Uganda called Lake Bunyonyi. Together we have built a breakfast program called Feed Their Minds. Approximately 300 students at the school get breakfast of posho (porridge) every morning and also something for lunch when the funds allow.

With the support of so many people we have kept this program going for four years and I have been able to sell my photography fine art prints to contribute to the success of the program.

You can read all about the program and how it evolved on my GoFundMe page by clicking through on the below button ↓. If you would like to gather with us and donate, no amount is too small and we would be extremely grateful to have you join us on this project!

“Graziela has not only a great eye but a zest for life that comes across in her photos. I will never forget following her through a train car in Tanzania watching Grazi befriend young and old all along the way. She’s someone everyone wants to be with – and as a result, she’s able to capture the magical and the elusive.”
